Jennifer Love Hewitt to Make Movie Directorial Debut in Ghost Story

The 'Ghost Whisperer' star is to helm 'Wait Till Helen Comes.'

Jennifer Love Hewitt will direct her first feature film, an adaptation of a family ghost story Wait Till Helen Comes.

Love Hewitt has directed several episodes of the CBS show The Ghost Whisperer, the long-running series in which she stars.

The actress will also produce Helen, her p.r. reps confirm, along with A.J. Rinella. Victoria Sanchez Mandryk is co-producing and Manuel Freedman is executive producer. The producers are looking to start the movie in the summer.

Sanchez Mandryk has written the script based on the novel by Mary Downing Hahn. The script centers around a 12-year-old girl who's the eldest of three children that moves into a haunted house converted from a church in the Maryland countryside.

Hewitt is repped by Untitled Entertainment and attorney Robert Wallerstein.
